The majority (almost 80%) recovers with one to two rounds of Flagyl or Vancocin, but an unlucky small percentage does not and can suffer for months. Everyone eventually recovers, however, unless other factors are invovled such as advanced age or severe health problems. I'm sorry that you are going through this. I think watching what you eat is good and if you are not taking any probiotics, you might try that. I don't do well with many of them, so start slowly until you know if they help you. Florastor is a yeast based probiotic and there are others that have different bacterial strains such as Culturelle, Align, etc.
