I'm about a month out from my FMT. I've been doing well so far. Just a few questions. My stomach is making loud, rumbling sounds. I'm not hungry at all. When I eat. I get sharp pains in my stomach. I"m worried it's starting back up. I guess I won't know until I get D.
Any suggestions?

Re: Tummy rumbling
There are a lot of stomach viruses out there or it could be something that you ate. I get that rumbling still when something I eat does not sit well. It doesn't necessarily cause D. If you do get D and decide to test, test for other things in addition to c difficile. I picked up an infection called campylobacter after I had c difficile and thought it was back. The symptoms can be similar. Many develop food intolerances. Foods that agreed before c diff, don't agree anymore. This happened to me and others. Did you eat anything different?

The only thing different is I'm drinking a protein shake in the morning. I'm not a big eater and could go all day without eating. I figured a protein shake would at least give me something healthy.

You could try skipping the shake for a day or two to see if it makes any difference in your symptoms. Maybe something in it makes your stomach rumble or gives you gas.

Small regular meals are best.
Much less stress on your gut, gentler highs and lows for your system to deal with.
