I am just curious if anyone here has a doctor who was willing to prescribe the Liquid vanco for treatment to lower the cost? I am willing to travel if it means getting relief and not having the side effects of flagyl.
Thanks

Read my reply to your other post. This isn't rocket science, any Dr. can do it. Carol

Okay well now I'm a little confused. I thought the issue with it being complicated was that in order for the cost to come down and make it affordable they had to prescribe the iv liquid to be taken orally. So is there two different forms? iv and oral liquid?

No, they take the IV powder and mix it with sterile water and that makes it liquid. I had to have it mixed at the Compounding PHarmacy, my regular CVS didn't do it. There is no liquid VAnco, just the IV powder and they mix it,hope this clears it up. I think they can just take your regular prescription for the pills and you just tell them you can't swallow them and they will do it like I had it done. Just ask, they will know what you need. CArol
