Hi I am a 26 year old female who has had c-diff since may 2005 so over a year and a half. I have tried everything but it won't go away. I have been on Vano, Flagyl, Rifampin, Fusidic Acid and pulsing, Pro biotics I have tried everything. I have been admitted to the hospital twice for it. When it gets really bad I go up to 60 times a day which is when I end up in the hospital. I have also had 2 colonoscopies and 2 flex sigmoidoscopies which show swelling and redness and some ulcers. They origionally thought I had ulcerative colitis too but the biopsies come back unable to confirm it. Right now I am at about 10-20 times a day with no control at all. I can't go anywhere or do anything. I am seeing 2 specialist right now a GI doctor and a infectious disease doctor and they are also out of options. I am now being refered to a surgeon about having a colectomy. Which is a major life altering surgery which really scares me. I am so frustrated I just want my life back. Tammy P
