Saw my ID dr on Monday, after dealing with my 6th bout of c-diff. Have been on Vanco since Labor Day weekend, he is decreasing me to three times daily, for 3 weeks, then 2 times daily for 3-4 weeks, then 125mg 2 times daily until I see him in January. He said he would put me on 125mg twice a week for the rest of my life. He, also, said he wouldn't stop me from doing a fecal transplant, I would be his first patient to do so. He said there isn't enough research available to know what works long term with recurrent cases. I have a lot of thinking to do. Would appreciate any guidance and advice. You are all so great. I don't know what I would do without this site. Thank You.

If you don't need antibiotics all the time a fecal transplant works great. Do it!
