Cleaning patient areas....

Postby LindaSp » Tue Jun 09, 2009 5:12 pm

Hello,
One of the hospitals I work for is instituting a cleaning system called Bioquell which uses hydrogen peroxide vapor to eliminate bacteria in patient care areas. I googled it , and it states it is effective in eliminating C diff, mrsa, etc....very interesting I thought...

I have read about this and it is considered the most effective way of ridding a room of c diff. It is top of the line. That is awesome. I really hope more hospitals begin using it.

Thx., Linda, for the info. I think we should all call our local hospitals and ask if they are using this product. Ask for the head of Infection Control.

Went to a party the other night & met a nurse -- a neighbor. Mentioned I'd had C. diff. for 4 yrs. & then a second time, and she said, "Oh, you poor thing." She said hospitals in the area are very informed about it, look for the symptoms, and isolate anyone with it.

Will post this info. in FAQ-Hygiene.
