Stomach issues

Postby Lissaucd » Mon Jun 12, 2023 10:51 am

Well, booked for Vegas tomorrow and I got D. My mind is racing. I have lost a couple pound already. My mind is telling me it’s a stomach bug but what if it’s c diff! I have gone three times already last one is watery. It’s been almost two years and I have been doing good since being on lexapro. I’m so upset

Stress can cause D......along with so many things. It could be something just did not agree with you. Sadly, we have that terrible fear most of walk around with for years.....after CDIFF. I remind myself about life before CDIFF......having D a few times would not cross my mind. I would not be in a panic. Think about it....travel can cause it...so many things.

Hang in there and try not to worry

Thanks Nancy. Another trip cancelled. I’m in tears. Had D this morning hoping it would get better. Last night took pepto and had a semi formed stool, not this morning tho. I went 5 times yesterday so scared that it’s c diff. Going to unpack my suitcase…. Do you think I’m relapsing out of the blue like this? Or virus? I had perfect stools right before getting sick

You may have a virus. I would do some stool tests. Not just for c difficile, but a culture for other bacteria.

I’m worried about testing for c diff bc they are not reliable. What should I do? I just went again and there is a little blood
