Daughter sick with stomach flu

Postby Lissaucd » Thu May 26, 2022 3:13 pm

My daughter is sick with the stomach flu, she is only 3! She has vomited and I’m just anticipating diarrhea. I keep freaking out of the possibility of getting it. She has been drinking and eating out of my stuff and tons of kisses this whole week! I will automatically think I have c diff again. Anyone been through this? How can you tell the difference?

No expert but think you would only catch what she has if you managed to consume particles of her poo/vomit. It’s probably caused by something she ate, no? As for the difference . . . I would imagine the C Diffy smell for a start, then the pain. Hope she’s soon better.

My daughter was sick last week with vomiting and achiness, but no D and not Covid. Neither her son nor her husband got it from her. Be sure to wash your hands well.

Well, wasn’t stomach flu… it was Covid!!!!!! My husband and daughter tested positive and I’m negative. So weird bc I take care of my daughter and she has been around me 24/7!!!

My 3 yr old grandson had Covid in January and neither of his parents got it from him. Another friend was the only one in her family to not get sick, so I guess there is a lot that is still unknown about this. Hopefully, they will be better soon!

Some people have natural immunity or natural resistance to C.diff and that applies to covid or any other infectious as well.
To be sure though test yourself again in a few days.

Thanks for the info! Tested myself multiple times- still negative!! My husband has it too now! Luckily it’s just body aches and a cough. But not horrible. Very thankful
