flax tea cure

Postby macatta » Wed Mar 09, 2022 3:51 pm

Hi, I want to tell you how my case of c diff was cured.
In 2014 I had a pacemaker inserted at Beth Israel in Manhattan. I got IV antibiotic Vancomycin intraoperative. I went home the following day and started with unrelenting, distinct smelling diarrhea. I hesitated going to the doctor but finally after losing 14 pounds in 10 days, I did go. Nothing turned up in the stool test and the doctor said that I had c diff by symptoms evaluation. She put me on oral metronidazole and I got better but not all the way. I had to be very careful about what I ate. I had two more attacks in the next year and each time took oral metronidazole. The diarrhea would ease up but I never had normal stools during that first year after the operation. It seemed to me that the medication was losing efficacy.
So, in the fall of 2015, a woman from Ukraine came to stay with me. She had been raised in a very rural farm area there: she said they did not go to doctors as there were none nearby. Flax has been cultivated there for centuries and centuries. She noticed me going to the bathroom 5 to 7 times a day and felt she should help me. I was not on oral metronidazole and felt lucky to only go to the bathroom that many times in the morning, considering it the new normal. She made flax tea and told me to drink 2 quarts of it in one day. It looked gross but I said why not? The flavor was not strong or offensive, kind of soothing. I drank the 2 quarts throughout the day and the next day went to the bathroom only two or three times in the morning. I said to myself, this is working and I made another pot and kept drinking it throughout the day and the next few days I drank some, but less and less as the stools became much less frequent and quite normal. The distinctive smelling diarrhea never returned. I never took oral metronidazole again.
This is how she made the tea:
2 heaping tablespoons of ground, raw, organic flax seed in a large pot of water, 2 quarts or more- measurements are not important, just general. Simmer for at least 45 minutes. If kept simmering all day, it is not a problem, add more water as water evaporates. If you simmer for a long time, the essential fatty acids show as a yellow oil on the surface of the tea. The tea does get slimy and ugly looking but there is not much flavor. It can be diluted with water if it gets too slimy. If diarrhea is severe, drink only this, as much as possible all day - drink instead of water.
I understand that it seems too simple, too easy, like a fairy tale or folk remedy but it really works, for all kinds of gastric distress even. I have helped many people with this remedy and there are no side effects - it can even be given to infants if strained. My niece in Texas just had c diff and was on her second round of oral metronidazole in a month which was not working. She said the flax tea worked when she drank lots of it.
I am sharing this as I feel compelled to in the hopes that it will help more people who are suffering with c. diff.

Flax tea may help D, but are you sure you had c difficile? The reason I ask is that IV vancomycin does not cause c difficile as it does not hit the GI tract and as you know, vancomycin is used to treat c diff. Since you never had a positive stool test, it is possible that what you had was something else. It is also possible that you did have c difficle and picked it up at the hospital. I'm glad the flax tea helped you in any case and I hope you don't need to go on any metronidazole again.

I was concerned reading this post and would never recommend anyone not be treated by a physician when diagnosed with CDIFF. It can be very difficult to treat and recover from and become a serious illness.

If a person is diagnosed with CDIFF, they 100% should see a physician and possibly and Infectious disease specialist ( ID Doctor).

Flagyl has been taken off the list of recommended treatment for CDIFF ( 2018). If a physician does prescribe it, I would either see another physician or ask about Vancomycin or Dificid.

AGREE!!!
Very dangerous advice.
Flax tea does not cure c. Diff.
If only it was that simple!
