New worries

Postby Steffi » Fri Aug 27, 2021 7:21 pm

Hi friends,

I know very well already that cdiff transmission is possible only via fecal-oral route which excludes the possibility to get cdiff during blood tests. But still, I need your reassurance, please, is it possible to get cdiff when they draw my blood for tests? I apologize if it is too much already since I have asked you similar question before, but I went for blood test 2 days ago and I feel unwell since then. (I have very recent negative cdiff PCR, but it is before the blood test in question).

Thank you!

No, the only way possible is if you touched something that had c diff spores and did not wash your hands and put your hand or finger in your mouth. I assume you washed your hands after you left the lab.

Thank you so much, Beth
Yes, absolutely, I was even with medical gloves. I became a hypochondriac already :)
