Does anyone notice a difference without probiotics?

Postby twoscoop » Sat Jan 16, 2021 10:53 am

Hi guys. Sorry for the dumb question but what is probiotics actually doing? I started off taking 1 florastor during my treatment and after a month I had a mixture of mucus and frequent formed bm so I upped my florastor to 2. The month after, I started seeing hard constipated nuggets (my fault for my diet, lack of exercise and water) I thought I was fine so I lowered it back to 1 and eventually tapered it off. I noticed not taking any florastor has crumbled my stool and is more mushy. I started taking 2 again and the fluffy mush has subsided. Taking 2 florastor is keeping my stools well formed vs not taking any. Does this mean I'll need to take this for a long time? If so, is it safe to be on it. I don't want to become dependent on it. Thank you!

Florastor is advertised as useful for traveler's D. It never agreed with me. My symptoms got worse from it, but if it agrees with you, I would continue to take it, but check with your doctor. Maybe he or she would recommend one a day. I would ask.
