PCP test post antibiotics

Postby Lime1114 » Thu Sep 10, 2020 11:44 am

Is a pcp test post antibiotics (6 days after stopping Flagyl) pointless. I am having loose stools again but based on what I am reading this might yield a positive result regardless? Any advice?

If its 3 WATERY stools 3 times a day or more then see your Dr.
See the 3 day rule that Bobbie mentioned, it's a good guide.
You should not test this close to treating, go by symptoms alone.
Theres no such thing as a test to see if its cured or not and if full on symptoms return this close to initial diagnosis your Dr should treat without testing.

NO more flagyl, it's no longer used for c.diff.
