I had my FMT 7 hours ago and still trying to hold in. I almost gave up and used the bathroom one hour after the FMT. But a very smart and nice nurse convinced me to not sit on the toilet and offered me to go on the bed if I had too and she would clean it afterward. I listened to her advice and learned that I can control the urge and have been doing so, thanks to her I have been holding for 7 hours now. I am feeling very good, but I think it might be because of the sedation.
It might sound silly, but I felt good after using the prep, the prep solution cleaned my bowels and I felt like days before the C-Diff this morning before the FMT...
Can the prep flash the C -Diff out of your system? my ex GI told me the Prep can cause C-Diff.

The GI who did my first FMT told me that the prep sometimes helps to wash out the c diff as well. I'm not sure if anyone really knows, but that's what he said.

Congrats for having done the FMT , hope this will be the end of your Cdiff problems.
If you held it in for one hour it's great , even though you used the bathroom i'm sure you have lost a very small quantity of the slurry , there is plenty more left inside to grow and multiply.
Now , remember that FMT is not a magic cure , expect to have symptoms for a period of time until the new bacteria settles in. Try to eat bland and gradually add some fiber to your diet to help your new bacteria multiply.

Check with your Dr but most will say NO probiotics should be taken after FMT.

Awesome for you Alimar. I was wondering how things went so please keep updating. Life’s to short to be chained to the crapper 24/7.
