I'll submit a sample tomorrow if things continue. But I'm hopeful it's just a bad day. I'm resting now and eating very bland, easy foods.

The nurse spoke to the doctor, and he ordered a stool test for me. He said, however, that most likely this is just a pi-ibs flare. I hope that is the case.

That is great, I agree it is highly unlikely to relapse after 7+ weeks. I always thought; it doesn’t hurt to test when u are having issues. I know there are many would disagree... I am also going to test in few days if I am still having issue, just for peace of mind to make sure it is not CDi. I wanted to get passed 12 or 14 days post last antibiotic first and then test.. I had the last Dificid 8 days ago

I feel you, poppy! I just finished my Vanco taper on Thursday and then had a wicked day spent in the bathroom on Sunday. But then a "quiet" day on Monday. And a so-so day today. I'm trying not to jump to conclusions but where I've relapsed so many times, it's hard not to panic.

I'm praying that the symptoms you and I are experiencing are "just" IBS and that we'll both be on the mend soon.
32 y/o female. Got C. diff in Feb. 2020. Prescribed Flagyl (10 days), then Flagyl again (4 days), then Vanco (10 days), then Dificid (10 days), then Dificid again (10 days), then a Vanco taper (5 wks), then a Dificid taper (2 mths) and finally recovered.

Poppy and NS789, I hope this will pass for both of you soon and it is just an IPS flareup, I have relapsed several times, I know the feeling is awful ...

Thanks for your replies Ali-Mar and NS789. I hope both of you are feeling better very soon. Last night things calmed down, and this morning I had two BMs that were mostly solid. So I'm hopeful it was just a bad day yesterday. I'm still extremely anxious, and anxiety triggers the IBS, so I'm trying to calm myself down.
