Bezlotoxumab for recurrence?
Male 54, contracted C-Diff on Feb 5, 2020, diagnosed on March 2nd, Took Flagyl for 8 days, Vanco for 10 days, relapsed 5 weeks post-Vanco. finished Dificid Taper on June 20 relapsed two weeks later, had the FMT on July 14th, 2020

This drug is givien ONCE as an infusion and at the same time of treatment.
My ID mentioned it to me but after going through my history of on and off high B/P, she did not mention it again. If you review the risks, Heart Failure is one that stands out.
I also read the studies, it seem to lower risk of reoccurnace about 10%?? Did not seem like much to me or worth the risk.
There is probably more information online, I just was not impressed with the numbers. The cost seemed about $2800 but may not include medical setting/nurse etc where infusion would be given.

Yes, I saw the 10% only improvement of the odds not getting reinfected, you are right not worth it
