Hi everyone,
I have posted on here a few times in the last year. I beat 5 months of cdiff with an FMT at Mayo Clinic back in June 2019. It has been over 9 months now and I am having a few rough days and wondering if it sounds like a relapse. Today is day 3 of having diarrhea mixed with solid stools. The first day solid stool, then it continued to get softer each time I went to the bathroom. I had 2 WD and then took some pepto bismol which stopped it through the night. I woke up the next morning and has 1 solid, 1 soft, and that WD. I waited to take pepto until later and ended up having 4 more episodes of D. I took pepto and which brought me to this morning and I once again had soft formed stool and then very loose D and then went and soft formed again. My stomach has also been crampy and queasy. The only hope I am holding on to is the fact that there has been no blood or mucus which were usually my signs and it is almost like I have had to (TMI) but push it out each time. I am most likely going to go get tested tomorrow. Does this sound like a relapse? I have taken no antibiotics since my procedure, eaten nothing out of the ordinary, wash my hands religiously and am so careful. I don't know how it would come back if it did.

Re: Possible Relapse
You may just have a bug, but for peace of mind you can test. I would ask for a stool culture as well if you test because there are other pathogens that can cause D.

Re: Possible Relapse
Or it may a IBS flare up from something that u ate or maybe the stress from all the Covid-19 (which i must say it kinda disturbed my gut as well) , and will take a few days to settle down. Go back to a bland diet and see if things get better. Don't let anxiety overwhelm you , it can be controlled either with therapy or medication from specialist .
