topical steroid cream
I am 3 years post infection and have had a patch of eczema on my ankle for most of my life. I have seen many dermatologists over the years but saw an eczema specialist today after having a miserable time with a patch of eczema that seems to have gotten worse. He prescribed a topical steroid (Desoximetasone .25%) to be used twice a day for the next two months. I know this is not an antibiotic, but I know oral steroids can suppress the immune system. He knows about the past c diff infection and felt confident it was fine to use as did the pharmacist. Has anyone had any issues with topical steroid cream? Thank you!

Re: topical steroid cream
I had two shots of Dexamethasone in march for back pain and haven't had no issues or relapses from it.

Re: topical steroid cream
Have used short term steroids, oral, topical and shots, several times since c diff and never any problems.
