20 weeks post FMT
Hi all! I just wanted to give a quick update to those who may remember helping me. I am thankfully still cdiff free, but am still suffering from some side affects of the beast. The dull burning pain in my lower rt side is still there. I had a cat scan which came back normal. My BM’s are still very loose. M is still very common. I typically “go” 3 times a day. I still can’t figure out my food triggers. My good and bad days seem to occur no matter how good or bad I eat. I always feel like I’m on the edge of catching a cold. When I have a couple good days I’ll try to get back to jogging. This usually puts me back to having bad days. I just feel like my immune system is still very fragile! It’s hard to know if cdiff caused this or if the weak immune system caused the cdiff. But I’m very thankful to be doing as well as I am. Hopefully I’m just a slow healer. I’m also very thankful for the support and education that I’ve received from this sight! I don’t quite feel like a success story yet, but hopefully I’ll be posting one in a few months.

Re: 20 weeks post FMT
Many of us continue on to suffer with post infectious IBS. Which the longer I suffer with it and the more I research, is actually physiologically a mysterious condition.
I also have SIBO.
Many of us end up with crazy food intolerances after c diff for example, which is a problem occurring in your small intestine, not your colon.
So why?
Dr. Mark Pimentel has done some interesting research and studies concerning ibs you may want to check out, if you are unfamiliar with him.

I would ask to have your vitamin and mineral levels checked. I was deficient in Vitamin D and when I started to supplement, my GI symptoms improved as well. Some are deficient in iron, calcium, vitamin B12, B6, D, A. Good to have it checked out.
Dr. Pimentel has written a book about IBS. He also recommends a special diet for people with SIBO. I mostly follow it. You may very well have SIBO. There is a breath test that you can take to check if you do.
