Cdiff test results

Postby mayra123 » Fri Sep 14, 2018 5:05 pm

Hi all, It has been about 6 weeks off Vanco and I was feeling like slowly I was getting better and even tested negative on both antigen and toxins about 3 weeks after stopping antibiotics. But last week again I feel like symptoms were back slowly, (on and off soft stools, gas, sometimes mucus and pressure). I tested again this week and was negative on both PCR and a/b toxins but positive on antigens. My GI says that I am negative and no treatment needed. Has anybody had this experience so far? I also had some diahreah today :(

Hello and Welcome to the site Please read the first thread for all new posters

Recovery can take a long time and BM's can be all over the place. If your GI has checked you out, you may talk with them about medication. Alot of people can get Post IBS. Make sure to go easy on the diet, if the D start's up again and continues for a few days call the GI.

Most don't test after CDIFF, they go by symptoms but ti can take time. I continued taking VSL#3 and still take it 3 years later.

Call your GI if symptoms persist

Hope you feel better soon
