Hi,
Last night was my final dose of my Vanco pulse treatment. I have to say it's quite nerve-wracking. I've been battling this crud since March. I continue to deal with some bloating and overall feeling of less energy and crampiness at times. I'm wondering if the Vanco causes some fatigue as well or if it was the infection, or both? My Dr. did test my level of inflammation as well as CBC and all came back fine as did vitamin levels; so there isn't a plan to retest for C Diff unless there's an obvious need. I don't think I've ever looked in the toilet as much as I have the past few months...
I do appreciate this site and all the responses I've received to this anxiety provoking illness.

I’ve also experienced major fatigue and weakness. I’m still not sure if it’s cdiff or Vanco related, but I’m leaning more toward the Vanco. I wish you the best and my prayers are with you!

Vanco has lowered potassium levels in some posters, so perhaps that is why the fatigue, although I had it too and was not sure if it was the vanco or the infection.

Re: Fingers Crossed
I think that the fatigue is caused mainly because of the dybiosis.

I wish you the best of results from your treatment! Vanco tapers have cured many here. :)
Keep in mind what you said to me when we discussed anxiety once. You feel that you do best when you just go with whatever's happening rather than resisting it, and deal with that. So, now you are in recovery. Let yourself be in recovery, deal with that, and deal with anything else if and when it comes up!
