I have one scheduled for the 23rd via colonoscopy. I guess it’s a little early to ask, but how are you doing so far? Best wishes and my prayers are with you.

Thanks Georgina an Ajs :) Overall I feel good. The best I am explain it right now is I have a lot more gas and my stomach spasms and talks a lot. Last two days I had 199% good stool. Today at 11am I got some ibs type stomach churn and I had to go. I thought it was going to be Diarrhea, but it was formed mostly, disconnected (almost disintegrating like) and floaty. Not like my last two days. For whatever reason my stomach is just more upset today. Good luck with your FMT Ajs!

Bryle-

I had a FMT two years ago, it saved my life! Sounds like it is working for you and I can only imagine the relief you feel!

Sending good thoughts your way :)

Thanks Megs! So I am having a bad day today. I had liquid D twice so far. I am not sure what to think but my mind thinks the worst. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

After I had colonoscopy FMT I did pretty well, but I would get WD if I ate certain foods like dairy, fruit, many vegetables. I could eat nothing in the way of raw vegetables. You might keep a food diary to see if anything triggers that. Also, I did not do well with many probiotics. I had to try several before I found one that halfway agreed. I was able to take them while on vanco, although I am sure vanco killed most of the bacteria in them.

Thanks for the reassurance Beth! So far my WD ended with those 2 today. I did drink more water at one time than I probsbly should. I have started to right down what I eat so I can track form stools. I haven’t started a probiotic yet because I read too soon after FMT that can create a Dysbyosis? I can handle Florajen digestive. Also, the Provider wants to do a PCR test to see where I am at. Is this too soon should I test? This early I should show negative if I really was right?

The PCR test could show positive or negative and wouldn't tell you much. It could be positive because the new bacteria may not have taken hold yet and you still have it in the DNA or it could be negative because you were on antibiotics prior to the FMT. Ask your doctor if he wants you to wait or not. If you continue to have WD, then I guess I would test. My GI told me that sometimes people get the D because the colon thinks it is still under attack and this is the reaction. I don't know if that is considered IBS or microscopic colitis or what, but he said it happens. If it just happens here and there, I really would not worry. Give it a little time. Your body has been through a lot.

God bless you Beth! Thanks for giving me peace in my mind tonight. I will report I haven’t gone since it happened and I pray tomorrow is a better day. Stomach is a little sore from all the running around today but like you said I won’t be in a rush to pick up the test just yet.

I would write down what you eat for a while to see if there is a pattern of some food or foods that give you problems.

It's too early to get tested ,and also your symptoms don't seem so bad , only 2 bouts of D doesn't indicate a relapse. The new flora needs time to grow and your system also needs time to adjust to the flora . I too had very bad days after my FMT , don't know if it was from the food or from the prep that i had to take before the FMT or from the FMT itself but three days ago i started the low FODMAP diet and it seemed to make a difference , stools are still soft though ,but somehow formed , less gas , less frequency , no pain.

Thanks Georgina and Beth :) I am glad I didn’t go pick up that test yet. Today I had what I would be bold to say constipation. Formed but didn’t go a whole lot. Today I drank half the amount of water and didn’t guzzle it like I did yesterday in one sitting. It could be anything really, but I did head both of your advice and I am keeping a journal of food I eat the day before. Even with the D yesterday as scared as I was. One thing stood out I forgot to mention. That Smell wasn’t there. It was normal smelling to me. Sorry TMI.

It sounds like you are in recovery. It may be rocky at times, but hopefully not for too long. As I said before, you may have problems with foods that you ate before without problems. That's why the food journal is helpful..
