Re: Symptoms
I am panicking but if these cramps would go away maybe I wouldn’t be so anxious. :( yeah I’m pretty sure that I’m not going to go to the ER bc I work at the hospital and I don’t want any of my coworkers seeing me there. And if I go to another hospital I don’t think my insurance would cover it. So I called my gi dr. And he went ahead and ordered me a stool sample kit to take to the hospital this weekend if need be so I can get the results stat.

Re: Symptoms
That’s great the doctor is willing to order the test. I have a local hospital lab that can get c Diff results in a day. Hopefully, you can get this done quickly then and at least know where you stand with the c Diff uncertainty!

Re: Symptoms
Yes it is! He’s very good at ordering tests for me. Yeah I should be getting the results back the day I do my sample....but of course it can’t be a solid Stool bc then they won’t test it. Do you know of any statistics about when others mostly reinfect or relapse also?

Re: Symptoms
My FMT doc says at 8 weeks you are cured, but if you research online you will find up to 12 weeks. I have seen studies that analyzed the bacteria strain and many cases after 8 weeks are actually new infection.
The fact is we are never completely safe from c Diff. It’s everywhere. What we have to do is maintain healthy gut microbiomes the best we can and avoid antibiotics.
Keep us posted on how you are doing and the results of your test :-)

Re: Symptoms
Ok, yes that is what I was figuring also. I was really counting like every week and was getting really close to the 3 month mark so with every week that passed I was really happy. My body of course still isn’t back to 100% and yah know the scary symptoms pop up from time to time but every week I was able to get through it made me happy. Yes it is everywhere, and in my case since I work at a hospital I have to be extremely careful since many of our patients have it. It’s a scary thing going to work and knowing that you’ll have patients that have it. Thank you! I will do :)

Re: Symptoms
Hello I have had similar stomach cramps you are talking about with the gas! Did you ever find out what is going on? I’m about 4 months into recovery and have also wondered about the Sibo thing!

Re: Symptoms
Eventually I had an EGD done. They found yeast in my esophagus. They treated it with some pills. However for a while it slowly just came back. Eventually I got over it though. Yeast can cause these symptoms you describe. I hope you ended up finding out what was wrong.
