LAMP TEST RELIABLE?

Postby Sez123** » Fri Feb 09, 2018 11:58 pm

Hi all

I got my test results back as negative. My dr wanted to test for a cure as I had to go back in antis for mastitis.

The referral said a “c diff toxin clearance” test.

I’ve seen they Used the LAMP method.

Is this negative result a reliable result ??

I wish I could put a pic of my results but don’t know how to upload it

My dr , as said before , doesn’t seen to know much abt c diff seemingly.

Had it been positive he wanted to treat it. Even though I’m not symptomatic

Hence I’m asking you guys Cos ur way smarter than the Drs here ...

I guess it wouldn’t test for dormant spores

I finished keflex for mastitis
So fingers crossed there isn’t a dormant spores that wants to party again

LAMP is similar to PCR as far as I know, also uses DNA and is supposed to be very reliable. I had it done a few years ago at one hospital that used that method rather than PCR.
