Hyperthyroidism?

Postby sophie » Fri Jun 09, 2017 11:37 am

I saw a GI this week to get help with what I believe are post C-Diff IBS. They took blood tests and I was informed I am in a very hyperthyroid state and am being referred to an Endocronologist. The problems never seem to end. Just curious if anyone else has found this out?
Thanks.

My thyroid alternates between being normal and being hyper but this was discovered many years before having c.diff. It did seem that c.diff, and afterwards, worsened some of my symptoms including excess sweating, feeling light headed, and rapid heartbeat but not sure if it is connected or not honestly.

Seeing an endocrinologist is the best next step.

I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis, so I have gone between being hyper to hypo thyroid. I had it before c difficile too. You are doing the best thing to see an endocrinologist, but hyperthyroid can certainly give GI issues, so best to have it corrected.

If you have hyperthyroidism you will get a lot of GI symptoms , most patients are dealing with fast transit and abdominal spasm, weight loss , tremors , anxiety and lots of other symptoms. You need to get treated , to keep you hormones levels within normal ranges , it takes up to 6 weeks for treatment to realy kick in but once it does you will feel better.
