Check out this web site: www.biospace.com/navigate/search.cfm !!!!!!

Not only are they working on a new drug for C-Diff, but is supposed to be 10 times as potent as Vancocin!!! Apparently this drug has yielded encouraging preliminary results. Phase III of this study is to commence by the end of the year! Do a search on Ramoplanin! Also check this web site: www.eurekalert.org/pub_realeases/2002-05/uopm-rba052102.php. It states : "Ramoplanin is more effective than front line antibotics such as vancomycin.

Also as of 8/25/2004, the FDA has received clearance of a New Test for C-Diff.

Go to the biospace web site and do a search on news and diseases and type in Clostridium Difficile. I think this will be uplifting and if not immediate encouraging news for all C-Diff sufferers! New drugs and new tests for C-Diff.
