Dificid taper

Postby cnatra » Tue Dec 03, 2019 4:50 pm

I think it was NanciT who has referenced one of the earliest uses of a Dificid taper regime ,

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4281782/

Is this the correct one ?

Thanks

Hi

I did not do a 30 day taper, I had CDIFF in 2014/2015 before we had heard of a taper. I followed a research paper that was much too long ( nearly 4 months) although it worked, I would not recommend. I have not been able to find that paper, It may have been taken offline. AT the time, the FDA had stopped FMT's so I could find no one to help. I was on a waiting list for 4 months to see the only GI I could find in the state that would do one. I had been sick a very long time so I was desperate.

Anyway, several on the site have since then done a 30 day taper, I do not know that regime but this does not look like it. It's been a few years and I don't recall. I thought we had it listed here on the site. Try using the search bar and putting in Dificid taper.

Wishing you the best

NanciT
