I think FMT with a tested donor is a lot safer. Don't think I would want this. I asked about a drug like this when I was in the hospital receiving antibiotics and the ID doctor said he did not think it was safe. Maybe this is it. This was in May. I don't know how long this one has been out.

Can't wait to try Zinplava , wondering if it would be available in Europe as well.

More complex than "...not considered safe." If I understand correctly, CHF patients are most impacted in terms of safety.

It's a monoclonal antibody against the toxin. I'm really confused as to how it would lead to CHF flares, given that antibodies are very specific and this one should not bind to anything except C. diff toxins, so the data confuse me, but there they are. "Just because you don't like the data doesn't mean you get to ignore them."

It should prevent relapses for 2-4 months after a single dose, but then you'll be back to square one because it won't induce long-lasting immunity.

I did a Zinplava infusion in early June.

No significant side effects .
I seemed to have extra gas and mild D for a couple days after the infusion then things normalized.
Also a mild rash on my arm where the IV was inserted the day of the infusion.
I have no heart issues and I'm under 50.

It did seem to really help eliminate any symptoms while I took it . The infusion was done about 1 week into a Dificid treatment .
