Evening Primrose?

I don't know if anyone's mentioned this before, but I was reading a little on the herb, Evening Primrose, and it mentioned something about it being useful in healing gastrointestinal disorders, and inflammation. Anyone heard anything similar? Or tried it?

I would talk to a doctor before taking it. I read that one of the side effects can be softening of the stool!
