Birth Control And Antibiotics

I posted earlier about a few questions I had, and just thought of a few more:

1. Will metronidazole affect my birth control effectiveness?
2. How close together can I take the metronidazole (500mg/ 3 times a day) doses?

Dosage vary. Check with your doctor and pharmacist. Ask both about the birth control.

My doctor told me that drugs like : metronidazole , ampicillin and tetracyclin do not affect the effectiveness of the contraceptive pill but agree with Bobbie , you should ask your pharmacist, to be sure.

Having D or vomiting definatly effects oral birth control.
