This comes from my veterinarian friend, a herbal treatment to prevent recurrance of clostridium infection.
She promises it works without fail on dogs

In between meals: Probiotic powder, store in fridge
Before meals: Burdock root - 20 minutes before meals
After Meals: Dandelion root 1 cap, Marigold extract 30 drops

keep supplementing for 1 month after infection to prevent recurrance.

I am not aware of any scientific study for this on humans, so its anecdotal and tried on dogs!
