Colectomy
My husband had a history of Ulcerative Colitis when he contracted a virtulant strain of c-diff. He had 2 more re-occurances over the next 2 years and has now been told he needs a total colectomy (colon removal) due to thousands of polyps they blame on c-diff. Does anyone know how common this is, or any info post colectomy that they would like to pass along that might be helpful. Thanks

Hello kimmoncrieff. I'm sorry to hear about your husband. I wonder if the doctors are just guessing that the polyps are a result of the cdiff, I had never heard of that connection. Let me ask you a rather off-the-wall question: Does your husband have a history of skin tags? About 20% of people with skin tags also develop colon polyps.
