Has anyone ever just gotten done with a treatment for c diff and come down with another infection and had to be put on regular antibiotics to stop it? What do they do? If you get c diff back but need to fight the other infection what options are out there? Has this ever happened to anyone before?

While being treated for c diff with vancomycin, I developed a kidney infection and had to take an antibiotic. I took bactrim, and also took vanco for 10 days with it.
I am keeping my fingers crossed. I have three days of vanco left and am hopeful. I know my kidney infection feels better. I really just don't know what to expect when I am done taking the vanco.
