Hi all. I am almost crazy with all the 'noise' my stomach makes. It is one of the things that just unnerves me. I rarely have periods where my stomach is quiet. It can go all day long, and it is always bad at night. I know there are worse things, but it is totally making me crazy at this point.
So I am asking if anyone has any suggestions about how to make it stop.
I don't really know if I still have cdiff or not. I have two GI doctors; one is a celiac specialist. One thinks I have low level cdiff (low enough that i wouldn't test positive) and the celiac specialist thinks I have celiac related (or post infectious from cdiff) IBS. I basically get sick about once a week, but can have cramping off and on....and constant NOISE. I just finished about 6 months on xifaxan (been off for two weeks) and to be honest I'm not really any different on it than off it. I actually think it made me worse.
I was taking culturelle and florajen3 and I stopped those thinking it might stop the noise....didn't happen. So it pretty much doesn't make any difference what i take or don't take; but if someone could offer a suggestion of stopping the noise, I would appreciate it. It's almost like the 'telltale heart' to me at this point!!
Thanks,
MaryT

Hi mary!!! My LOUD, Noisy stomach went away few months ago, but came back with a vengance about 3 to 4 days ago. I lay awake all night wondering if my stomach is gonna explode!!! No one can lay in the bed with me b/c it keeps them awake (husband, children). Needless to say that my c-diff is full blown again thanks to many rounds of differenct antibiotics. I also am awaiting for my tummy to settle down. A couple of people recommend Gas X on the board, I've tried it and it helps, so I'm gonna go pick up some more. Hope this helps a little.
