Abdominal spasms

I'm new here, am a career Firefighter/Medic dealing with relasping c-diff My question is, does anyone have or had abdominal spams that travel into the entire back and sometimes the legs? I've had no history of back injuries. I can currently take the edge of with a .0125 Nulev, but more than 3 a day tend to brown me out..not good ! I'm wondering if anybody has dealt with this issue and does it vanish with the c-diff ? I am currrently just ending a 6 week pulse dosing with Vanco and chasing it with 3 weeks of Xixifan and Florastor. Any ideas, solutions would be appreciated. [/list]

Yes, I have had/have the same thing on treatment and now off. My Dr. says it's IBS. I use Bentyl. I usually only need to take one at night for a couple of nights and it kicks it out.

Thank you...one question does the Bentyl affect you mentally or physically, due to the job I have to be ready 24 hrs when on shift

Side effects say it can. It only makes me tired other than that I'm fine. If I take 1- 10mg capsule for a couple of nights in a row I am usually good for 3-4 days. I am a very petite person, though. My script calls for 1-2 capsules(10mg each) up to 3 times a day, as needed.

I have taken bentyl as well and am also petite. It wipes me out. I had a lot of pain through to my back and a tremendous amount of pain in my hips. Went away after cdiff and off vanco.
