group b strep and cdiff

I have been cdiff free now for about 8 months...i am also 5 months preggo! Well i'm waiting for my group b strep test to come back and i'm kid of worried about it being positive. because if it is then i have to take antibiotics before the baby is born...my doc asked if i was allergic to penicillin and I am so she said they would use something else...but didn't say what. does anyone else have experience with this?

of course i will take whatever i have to take to protect the baby, but is there something that will cover both bases?

See FAQ-Antibiotics. If you do have strep B, discuss the narrowest spectrum antibiotic that would work with your OB & GI & doublecheck with your pharmacist.
