I read somewhere that c-diff doesn't increase the chance of a colon cancer.

That is good to know as I have had this for over 2 years now and was wondering the same thing, if it would increase my risk.

Linzie, there are other causes besides cancer, including hemorrhoids.. I hope you have an appt. with a GI specialist? If not, you need to make one and, since most are booked months in advance, tell them your symptoms and see if they'll work you in sooner.

Let us know how you are doing.

Having C. diff. is not supposed to increase chance of colon cancer -- as far as I know.

From what my Dr. has told me and believe me I have asked more than once, c-diff does not increase your chances of getting colon cancer or any other type of permanent type of colon problem. Once the c-diff colitis heals that should be then end of it other than maybe PI-IBS which may or may not clear up. I'm sure other Dr.'s may have other opinions as most never agree.
