Question for those recovered for more than a year
Ok so last Vanco pill was March 2022. Took a long time to get somewhat back to “normal” after C diff. But now it seems like I go to bathroom probably 3 times a day and sometimes the last time will be D. I overall feel really good, no stomach issues except for this. Would like to know if there are others in same boat or if this really is not normal.

Re: Question for those recovered for more than a year
Everyone is different, but from reading posts for many years now, it seems that there is a "new normal" after c diff and treatment for it. Sometimes this takes a long time. It is not unusual from what I have read here, but you should check with your doctor. Your intestines have been through a lot and recovery and healing does take a while. My doctor told me a year at least. But, there are some who recover faster and others who take longer.

Thanks. I definitely have a faster transit time and since CDiff I have had so much anxiety over digestive issues that it has only made it worse. This has been a very stressful year overall, lost my mom a few months ago and that is also contributing to my stress/anxiety which in turn upsets my digestive system.

I agree with Beth 110%! It took me a very long time and I did get to a new normal. Then 5 years later....got CDIFF again after antibiotics and started the process again.
