Hello, I searched the posts for information on this, but didn't find anything so I'm posting. I'm a female in late 50s and was hospitalized with c. diff. (got it from antibiotic use) in the fall. After FMT cured my c. diff. in November 2021, my stomach is still enlarged. Not nearly as distended as it was during the active infection, but still larger than normal. Will my large stomach dissipate at some point? I also have very loose stools each day with lots of gas. I'm a petite woman but I now fart like a 200 pound guy! Has anyone else experienced this after being cured by FMT and did your stomach size and stools/gas go back to normal? Thanks!!

Bloating and flatulance are common in normal (non FMT) recovery and after FMT as one of it's "side effects" .If the gut flora is still unbalanced you will have all kind of abnormality :frequency , poor consistency , discomfort etc but that does not mean that the infection is active , is just disbiosis . FMT is no magic bullet , it works well for CDiff but it will not heal dibiosis ,irritation , inflamation , food intolerances , malabsorbtion. You can reduce symptoms and heal your gut trough bland food , avoiding irritants and junk food .
