Re: How long
I can't say I really felt well on vanco, but the D did stop after about 4 or 5 days.

Re: How long
Neither do I. The GAstro said Friday to go to hospital. He was shocked I made it this long. I’m deathly afraid of hospitals, but I think I’m headed there very soon. Every time I take a vanco, I feel weaker and weaker. I don’t understand.

Re: How long
It's better to get checked out if you have continued with D and are feeling weaker and weaker. Your electrolytes can be off.
During my initial year with CDIFF, I ended up in the ER several times due to very low potassium. I was on Vanco 3 1/2 months at the time.
I would also talk with your GI if D continues and does not improve, possibly try Dificid
Hope you feel better soon
