C Diff but no antibiotics or hospitalisation?

Hello,
I wondered if anyone has been diagnosed with C Diff but had not been on antibiotics or in hospital? I am at a total loss as to how I caught the infection and can only assume I must have been colonised as some point and that a bout of gastroenteritis along with chronic anxiety caused the infection to get a hold.

We have had some posters who had not been in the hospital or taken antibiotics. Community acquisition is not that rare anymore.

Me!!!! No hospital and no antibiotic. I have no clue how I got it? I know it has been a while since your post but how are you doing?

So sorry, only just seen your post! I am doing ok. Over 4 months since I finished antibiotics. Still very anxious though and at the moment experiencing cramps and loose stools but hoping it’s PI-IBS! Hope you are doing ok?

Hanging in there! I had loose stools too! I’m hoping it’s part of the recovery process. I have had a lot of help from individuals on this site! Still upset I can’t figure out where I got it!!!
