Bezlotoxumab Injection For C-Diff
Does Bezlotoxumab Injection work? Why no one is using ?
Male 54, contracted C-Diff on Feb 5, 2020, diagnosed on March 2nd, Took Flagyl for 8 days, Vanco for 10 days, relapsed 5 weeks post-Vanco. finished Dificid Taper on June 20 relapsed two weeks later, had the FMT on July 14th, 2020

The recent Infectious Disease specialist I saw mentioned this to me since I now have CDIFF again following taking Keflex after my battle with it 5 years ago.
It is not actually a treatment FOR CDIFF but given to patients to reduce the chance of recurrences. That was my understanding.
It is ONE infusion via IV. There are risks. My ID might recommend it after I have finished the Dificid but after reading about it I am not sure.
