Questions about PCR

Postby Anxious1 » Thu Jan 16, 2020 5:30 pm

Hello, new here. Skimmed and didn’t see this question. I got diagnosed with C Diff on November 27th 2019. Finished a ten day course of vanco December 7th. Have still not returned to normal stools exactly, formed but soft, and still yellow when wiping. But last week I had watery diarrhea for three days and got retested. I did a Toxin B PCR test. It came back negative. My doctor wasn’t in office this week and so I didn’t get to ask questions. But does a negative PCR mean no toxins detected and I’m not a carrier or colonized? Does this mean I have less of a chance of reoccurrence?
