C. Section antibiotics?

HI all,

Some quick background- 6 years ago I acquired c. diff following overaggressive treatment with clindamycin for postpartum mastitis. After multiple relapses, I was approved for an FMT and have been completely symptom free since.

I am set to give birth in several weeks and while I am expecting a routine delivery, still want to be prepared in the event of an emergency c. section. For those who either discussed or had a c. section post c-diff- what prophylactic antibiotic regimen was recommended?

Ask your Dr if they might consider IV vancomycin as the prophylactic antibiotic if you need one.
