Re: Advice on Recovery
I have had luck with Florastor, but I only take 1 per day, usually in the evening right before supper, or after if I forget. When I was in your stage of recovery, I did cut out coffee, gluten, junk food, and most dairy (but I still had butter, a bit of mayo, and a bit of heavy cream), and this really helped me too. Now I'm back to having coffee and gluten.

Your PCR can be expected to be positive. I would listen to the c diff specialist.
I know it stinks...c diff does this to you anxiety and tough recovery makes it feel like you will never get well, but you will.
I had a long recovery and terrible PI IBS. Keep experimenting with bland diets and good luck.

Are you drinking "diet" soda?
or using artificial sweetener instead of sugar?

Not drinking Diet soda, trying to avoid sugars as well. Today I’ve had gluten free bagel with jelly and a banana, lunch was grilled chicken and potatoes. I had a few gluten free cookies. Been drinking sips of Gatorade and water. My stomach today was ok in the morning but I had an urgent wbm shortly after lunch. My stomach has been upset since noon. My doctor wants me to let him know how I am feeling tomorrow and will tell me if he thinks I should take the Didicid. Just wish this would all end. Have to go to work this week in the office and I’m still feeling sick.

This thread will be locked soon because it is getting long but let me mention a couple of quick things...
I also had a long history of IBS before c diff then after and since c diff have suffered with severe PI IBS. I have taken a variety of “newer” meds for a host of severe symptoms, sometimes not unlike what you are describing when at their worst during recovery but I only tested once a few years later ( negative). You might want to ask your c diff dr or GI about a medical food, Enteragam, that bulks up stool, or xifaxan, which is used for IBS as well as SIBO and is sometimes used as a “chaser” after c diff. Maybe one of those would be helpful and not harmful. It is at least something you can ask about.

Re: Advice on Recovery
Thanks for your responses. I actually spoke to my doctor last night. He is convinced that what I am experiencing is normal recovery and I need more time to heal my guy. I mentioned SIBO testing and the medicine. He said the last thing he wants me on now are anymore pills. I guess I’m still in watch wait and deal phase.
