Anyone got Cdiff from cipro ear drops?

Has anyone ever gotten cdiff from cipro ear drops? I had cdiff 3 yrs ago with a successful FMT. My ear drum ruptured and i ignorantly took the drops thinking they were local. Well i had an adverse reaction so i quit taking them and a day later developed cdiff like diarrhea. Just seeing if anyone has had this happen to them? Ill be getting a test tomorrow but given it almost took my life im not messing around. Ive got three babies at home and Lord willing i will live to see them grow. Ill be pushing for an immediate FMT should i have it.

It's probably unlikely, but anything is possible. I got D from using clindamycin topically, so I assume it can happen.

I was just going to say as well that I developed c diff after using Clindamycin topically. No idea if that’s the same or not though. I hope it’s not!

If the D doesn't subside you should get tested. Clindamycin is not safe in any form.
