Just finished my taper dose of Vanco after being off and on for a year. GI wants to do a colonoscopy in a few weeks since a lot of my symptoms weren’t really in line with c diff but I always tested positive. I never had tons of diarrhea as most do and never lost a pound. Just sporadic diarrhea and a lot of itching/yellow discharge after using the bathroom. I’m a bit nervous about getting a colonoscopy if it could upset my system that just got off Vanco. Do y’all think I should wait a bit? I feel pretty good now and realize it’s gonna take a long while to completely recover so I don’t want to mess anything up.

I cant see why your even considering a colonoscopy when your main symptom is an itchy bum!
Your definatley not showing any c.diff symptoms and a positive test is considered normal (not something that needs treating) if you dont have c.diff symptoms.
Has a Dr actually had a close look, done a rectal exam, or even considered a sigmoidoscope?
Far less invasive tests should be adequate for what you describe.
