Hi all!

I managed to go two years without antibiotics (huge for an elementary teacher). However after suffering from a UTI I have developed a kidney infection. I am now having to take bactrim twice a day for five days.

Anybody have experience with bactrim?

I have not taken Bactrim after c difficile, but it is not one of the high offenders. I think it is in the middle. Hopefully, someone who has taken it will post.

Try and really eat well, increase probiotics (Florastor and another good quality probiotic like Bio K Plus or VSL3). Good luck and it's wonderful you've been antibiotic free for two years!

Good luck , hope you get trough the course without any issues , Bactrim is a little on the safe side . Do take Florastor along with it.

D-Mannose at first sign of UTI and even for a kidney infection can help.

Just did a search to be sure not just my opinion, and came across this:
