I used to get migraines. Different foods can trigger them and those vary from individual to individual. It is possible that dairy products did it for you. For some it is caffeine, sugars, etc. I eat my cereal with Rice milk. No lactose, no dairy.

Haven't tried the rice milk yet. Been getting Almond milk for my oatmeal and steel oats. Monosodium Glutimate has always been a suspected trigger for me. Milk Chocolate another. Never even thought about Milk but that may have been the culprit all along. Have had migraines for about 45 years. (ever since I got married) `~)

I started at around age 13, way before I got married, so I can't blame my husband, although he has added to them at times!

Hi fishrman, how are you? Have you continue to be migraine-free? Milk intolerances can definitely inflict myriad problems. I can understand your appreciation for cold cereals. Maybe try gluten-free cereals that are a low in sugar with dairy free “milk” options, such as almond, hemp, cashew, soy or coconut milk?

Thanks for asking! I am at about 90% now, in my opinion. I have slowly brought back some red meat and other things into my diet but not as much as before. I have been using Almond milk instead of dairy milk, for the most part. Still have not tried any cold cereals and really have lost my desire to. Staying away from processed foods, I think, is a good thing. My migraines have been significantly better.
