Well, two weeks off my 14 days of Vanco, it's back.
My ID doc has me pulse/tapering Vanco now over 10 weeks. Everything I've read says that once you've recurred once, you're more likely to recur again. I guess I'm just looking for a little hope. Has anyone been cured after one pulse/taper round of Vanco?
It's back. Who's been cured with one Vanco pulse/taper?

Some posters have. There is no way to tell if it will work or not, but the majority of people are cured with one or two rounds of medication. The ones who post on sites such as ours are the ones who aren't usually.

After the first round of meds around 2 in 10 will relapse.
Treat 10 relapsers for a second time and 4 of them will go on to relapse again.
Those figures were from the days of using flagyl as the first treatment so should improve slightly now.
Dificid has a much lower relapse rate.
