Question

Postby cjohns » Mon May 28, 2018 7:38 pm

I had CDIFF back in June of 2015. My wife cooked corn the other night which I shouldn't have ate as I've had diverticulitis in the past. As soon as I ate the corn I've had fever and diarrhea since. I'm going on 48 hours and it could be food poison/stomach bug. When should I contact my gastro before doing a stool test?

Thanks

I think you answered your own question. You stated you shouldn’t eat corn. Due to the elevated temp I would call your GI and run it past them.

If your D is still there tomorrow, I would call the GI. I doubt that it is c difficile from the corn, but it could have aggravated your other problem or as you said, it could be a bug. We have had something going around here and I assume the same must be true in other places. I hope you feel better soon.
